To follow is a list of the hottest upcoming due dates employers should be aware of:

JANUARY 31, 2020: Tax reporting forms W-2 and 1099-MISC, used for contractors and other non-employees, are due to employees or contractors.

JANUARY 31, 2020: Employer’s fourth quarter federal tax return(s) due. Income taxes, social security tax or Medicare tax withheld from an employee’s paycheck must be reported.

Employers portion of social security or Medicare tax must be submitted to the IRS.

FEBRUARY 1, 2020: OSHA Form 330A must be posted in a common area that employees frequent, by employers with 10+ employees who are not in exempt low-risk industries.

March 2, 2020: ACA Forms 1094 and 1095 due to the IRS by applicable large employers and employers who self-fund their own medical plans. See Blue Chip Benefits’ article on the topic, here or view it via our Intelligence Page.
