ERISA and the IRS: Satisfying Annual Reporting Requirements

July 31st will be here before we know it, so Blue Chip Benefits would like to take this moment to remind you that if your employee benefit plans are on a calendar year (January-December), in order to satisfy annual reporting requirements under ERISA and the Internal Revenue Code, Form 5500-series, returns for employee benefit plans must be completed and submitted no later than July 31. For those employee benefit plans not on a calendar year, keep in mind, your Form 5500 is due on the last day of the seventh month, after your plan year ends.

To obtain the form or if you would like more information, go to: https://www.irs.gov/retirement-plans/form-5500-corner
