There are several options to choose from:

  • Travel Insurance: plans available with a minimum of 5 days international travel or more
  • Student Secure Insurance: designed to meet the needs of international students traveling in or out of the United States
  • Group Travel Insurance: tailored for groups of 5 or more traveling outside the country for 5 days or more
  • MultiTrip Insurance: for individuals/families who require annual medical insurance with multiple trips of 30-45 days or less

An alternative to traditional ACA insurance plans are Medi-Share plans. Medi-Share plans, or Health-share plans, are faith-based healthcare plans. Although Medi-share is not considered insurance and is not offered via an insurance company, it is recognized by Health and Human Services as coverage and is a legal alternative to health insurance.

Medi-Share plans provided by Altrua Ministries (dba Altrua HealthShare) offer several affordable plans for patients interested in paying for treatments directly, rather than using private health insurance. Medishare programs will not cover certain lifestyle choice events such as injuries caused while under the influence of drugs or alcohol, abortions, pregnancy outside of marriage, etc.
